Re-Elect
Craig Latimer
Supervisor of Elections

Elections are a complex challenge that require organization, experience, a strong and dependable team, a clear understanding of the law, and an ability to plan for and adapt to the unexpected. I consider it a great honor, and a serious responsibility, to serve as the chief elections official in the community that has always been my home.

I was first elected Supervisor of Elections in 2012, after restoring accountability and efficiency to the office as its chief of staff. Since joining the office, I have overseen the conduct of 37 elections. My continued commitment to serving with transparency and integrity are reflected in some of my notable achievements as Supervisor, which include the following:

— Being the first Supervisor of Elections to earn the Governor’s Sterling Award, Florida’s highest award for performance excellence, after inviting examiners to embark on a comprehensive and rigorous assessment of the work my office does to conduct elections.

— Representing Florida’s 67 Supervisors of Elections as the president of our association during the challenging 2020 presidential election cycle and delivering on my promise that Florida would be a “shining star” on election night. Florida was widely praised for our efficient and accurate election results reporting that year.

— Serving as a founding member of the national Committee for Safe and Secure Elections (CSSE), a group of experts in election administration and law enforcement sharing best practices and working to ensure the security of voters and election workers. My work with CSSE is guided not only by my knowledge of elections, but also my previous career. I spent 35 years in law enforcement, retiring as a Major from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

My law enforcement experience has served me well as Supervisor of Elections. I am methodical, thorough, community-focused, and I follow the law. Beyond that, I work hard to share the work we do, so that our voters will have confidence that their voices are heard.
